Singin', Playin' and Mowin' in the Rain

Today is a work Saturday. We rolled out of bed and our house said, "Please clean me. I'm absolutely filthy." We agreed to become its slaves for the day. Gem tackled her pig sty, Shakespeare and Popcorn picked up toys, Sinatra made more mess and I trailed him. Eventually I plopped him in the tub because he was filthy too.

As we were busy cleaning inside, Jon decided to mow the yard for the first time in 4 weeks (it's been dry). The grass hasn't grown out of control, but the intermingled weeds need to be sheered away so that people don't know that we have so many of them. Those stubborn, unsightly things remind me of my gray hairs that decide to appear in my hair every once in a while. Mow them down, pluck them out!

It started to sprinkle, but was my hubby detoured? No. Spots of rain started to cover the driveway. Still going. Pouring down now. Must . . . finish . . . back . . . yard!

Thought you would enjoy these pictures of my crew in the rain. I also included an update picture of the hosta.
