You have raise one pinkie to the side and say the title the way Thurston Howell, III from Gilligan's Island would say it:"Haaaaavard, Lauvee."
While the kids and I were enjoying carefree days at the resort (my cousin's affectionate name for my parent's property) my hubby was in Cambridge, attending classes at Haaarvard. The president of the college where he works is also a professor at Harvard and, for a while, ran a program there. Anyway, he wanted Jon and the dean of students to acquire a little bit of upper crust academics.
Jon attended the Graduate School of Education for their Management Development Program. It's a two week course, full of case studies and lots of reading. One series of case studies was particularly interesting because after discussion they brought in the actual manager(s)to answered questions. In the first study Jon and three others decided that he would have fired the employee. The three of them were sent outside to prepare their statement. In the meantime the employee was brought into the room. When they reappeared they had to justify firing the man right to his face.
Jon says that the quality was great, but that it was extremely liberal (big surprise). He enjoyed the Cambridge/Boston area and made a few friends that he will probably have for life.
