Today, Hubby Man returns home from being in Baltimore at a conference. First it was Harvard for two weeks, take a two week break, then Baltimore for a week. No fun. It makes me so much more appreciative of what mom went through for years of military life. Kids, kids, kids and no break for mom. I also miss the strength of my man. Those kids really hop to it when he says hop. Me? They just look at me and sigh, then drag their feet to do whatever I demanded.
During his absence, however, I did take care of myself. One night my friend and I went out for dinner and Starbucks (hot chocolate in 80 degree weather)while her husband bravely watched all 8 kids. (Thanks, Rex).
Another night a friend from work watched the kids and I went out to dinner with a dear friend from our church whom I haven't caught up with in months. It was wonderful.
I also managed to take the kids to two birthday parties.
As I am typing this, there is one sleeping baby in the house. All the rest are at the Baptist Church's VBS until 12:30.
Anyway, Hubby Man is coming home today!!!!!!!!!

Really bummed we weren't able to connect with Jon. So close, yet so far away :)
Next time, you and the kids should come with him. You can come up here and stay.
Yeah, let's hear it for poor old Mom who had to take care of 3 kids while old Dad went off to war. AND I had to trudge to the commissary through a foot of snow, backwards, without shoes to buy a pitiful pittance of food. Let's hear it America!
