Sweetness

Watch this happen.

He sees me...

He deflects...

Flashes his winning smile...

And now the sweetness...

Being a mom is fantastic!

Daddy's Date

He brought her flowers and they went out to Carrabbas, just because she's his little lady. She gets all dressed up and usually puts on makeup--notice the eyeshadow. They do this every once in a while. What a great dad. He's setting the bar high.

Drool, Ladies ... Drool

Yep! He did it again. Just so that you understand that this is not something that he's doing for blog publicity (for the tens of people I reach every day), let me assure you that he did this before the blog ever existed.

They're so beautiful this time--huge!!!

Roses are Red, pink, coral, white, yellow and sometimes tipped any of the previous,
Violets are blue,
My man's the best,
Isn't it true?!

Sorry, Mark. I had to risk losing your readership despite the fact that you threatened to abandon my blog if I ever posted this again. Raisin' the bar buddy. I don't think your wife would begrudge you the roses you brought her even if it was motivated out of guilt. Celebrate your bride!

Another Woman

Jon bought flowers for another woman. The only thing holding back my passionate jealousy is that I gave birth to the little lady. These daisies are already five days old, but you'd never know it--economical! They are a good value for your money, guys!

Three Hits, You're Home, Baby!

The Man is On A Roll!!! Can you smell them through the screen? My favorite is yellow: he knows that. The white ones that followed the red ones are still alive. You can see them in the background of one of the shots. You've heard of "three strikes, you're out." Not this man: three hits, you've made a home run, Honey!

Celebrating Nothing

Jon used to balk at Valentine's Day. He didn't like the commercialism and the demand on guys to perform. I, of course, loved V-Day. He did it for me, but it just wasn't fun receiving flowers or a card along with rolling eyes.

Now, before you think I'm being tough on my hubby, please let me redeem the man--in a big way. He decided that one day wasn't enough to celebrate. Sure, you have anniversaries and Valentine's Day, but what about all the other everyday times that you should celebrate? So, he started bringing me flowers at random. He also sneaks cards in there every once in a while.

He's gotten really good at picking out roses, but also branches out into lilies, tulips, asters, and daisies. It's nothing rare to walk into my house and see fresh flowers on the table.

I feel celebrated, but last night I felt double celebrated. With red roses on my counter that still look fresh, he walked in the door with another dozen in white. Wow! You Da' Man, Jon!

Now that our celebration continues throughout the year, I could care less about Valentine's Day. In fact, prices on roses skyrocket and the quality isn't there (says my husband) during that week. It's best to buy them the week after--which he does--with a smile.
