Today we went to "Chick-a-lay", and when we returned home a curious smell greeted us. It was faint, but suggested something rotting. I suspected the caterpillar carcass hiding in its leaf wrap cocoon and decided to discretely toss it over the fence while the kids were entertained in the other room.
I picked it up by the tip of the branch that it was attached to (gag, gag) and keeping it as far away from me as possible lifted it out of the netting. Then the thing started squirming all over the place--bending, twisting, throwing a toddler temper tantrum. I'm glad I didn't react the way I would have had it been a mouse coming to life.
Kermit is safely back in his hanging net and we are awaiting the big day once again.
Jon tells me that resurrection is when something comes back to life, never to die again. Resuscitation is when something comes back to life, only to die again some day. So, technically, I guess my title should be resuscitation, but I stuck with resurrection because I didn't want anyone to get the idea that I was doing mouth-to-mouth on a worm.

So, are you telling me that you would not give the moth mouth to mouth? I have to say, I'm a little disappointed in you. So far, you have proven to be a very devoted mother and teacher, but now.... well... I just don't know what to say. LONG LIVE THE LUNA!! :) Hope you are well and the smell doesn't last forever.
Now that's funny. The mental image of you giving mouth-to-mouth to a worm will have me chuckling all night.
