Since July 27th our area has received less than an inch of rain. Combine that with the hottest August on record and you have a brown mess. It hasn't rained since September started. The leaves are already starting to change (early for this part of the country), and we've been on water restriction for a while now.
But this very moment the boys are out on the wet trampoline, jumping in a beautiful morning shower. It smells so good. So refreshing.
I know that talking about the weather is what you do when you have nothing else to talk about, but for us this is headline stuff.
Water slide, anyone?
