Well, the caterpillar turned brown yesterday. I thought that maybe I'd given him a bad batch of leaves or something, but no. Within a few hours, he'd barricaded himself inside a leaf wrap and begun his cocoon. He'll be in there for another two to three weeks, then emerge as a large green moth. At least we don't have to tromp through our neighbor's yard and get fresh leaves from the tree every day. Man, that bug could eat!
