Halloween 2011

All my cuties but Miss Oldest (who was too cool to dress up).  L-R: The young Jedi who wanted to wear shorts, a mad scientist we picked up off the side of the road, the cutest Batman in the world--who brought in the largest haul of the entire crew (cuteness matters), a 2 month old lion, a fairy princess with her wings on upside down.
Sugar caught on very quickly and loved it.  She would run to the door and say, "Give me trick or treat!"  Then after  getting the loot, would add a truly sweet, "Thank you!"  We tried to coach her to say just plain Trick or treat, or even Trick or Treat, please, but to no avail.

Plunder

One great reason to have 4 children is the booty that you haul home every October 31st. We found that Popcorn (our little lion) was the cash cow, combining cute and shy. Mix those two qualities and you're sure to get an extra piece and sometimes a whole handful.

Beyond that, they all have nice costumes. One horrid creature thing passed us and I told her, "Honey (we're in the south), you might just want to get a little more sleep and use some good detangler." Our crew was at least recognizable: a lion, colonial girl, Batman, Ben 10 (neighbor) and a very adorable monkey that kept raiding the overfill stash that we kept in the wagon.

The gang.

A very cute pilferer.

The loot! This was our big pile before we weeded out all hard candies, pixie sticks, taffy and gum. That stuff goes to the office. And what is left mostly contains good chocolate.

My personal stash is full for the year. Yea! for junk food. I think chocolate should be made a food group.
