Sarah Elizabeth. 6 lbs,15 oz and 20.5 inches. Born at 8:32am, delivered by the nurse, Donna. Mom and baby are very healthy and resting nicely. Mom needs sleep!
Dad is also doing very well and preparing to leave the hospital to pick up existing clan for a visit of their new baby sister. It is also noteworthy that this is Dad's first blog post. Also noteworthy is the accelerated need to re-name our family blog. Stay tuned.
Preemptive Q/A:
When is help arriving?
Erin's mom is slated to arrive Thursday evening.
Where are the kids right now?
Home with Gem (And a good family friend).
Are you done having children?
Have to ask Erin but she answered "no" to the tube tying question. But don't read into that!
Where are the kids all going to sleep?
The boys will all sleep in one room and have been already throughout this spring. The girls will have their own rooms.
Does the baby have hair?
Yes, dark hair.
When will Mom and Baby come home?
Probably tomorrow.
Little Known Facts About the Experience
1. Dad cried when he saw the baby and doesn't remember having that sort of involuntary reaction before.
2. Mom must have commented 68 times about how wonderful the epidural was compared to the last "natural" experience.
3. Mom only had to give one "half of a push" in her own words. Yes Ladies, that's one half of one push.

Aww, what a cutie! Congrats you two. Wow, 5!
Hey Congratulations you guys!!! I am so excited for you all!! I guess Mock Trial acted like Mexican Food to get labor started Erin! I enjoyed reading your blogs and laughed so much over the one about the spilled milk! I hope you have many "helpful" helpers as you become acclimated to 5 little ones. Hannah is really going to seem grown up now! Gayla
Your family is getting so grown up... the last time I seen you guys was in Georgia when Erin was pregnant with your 3rd on. Cynthia is very excited about the new addition to the grandkids :D Congrats
What a great looking family, and it keeps growing! I know you must be thrilled. One past me now. 4 is great, I know 5 only gets better, especially when it is a girl. Soak it all in.
You all are just the coolest. I love this website and John, good job on the post. Erin, we are praying for your recovery as you enjoy the beautiful Sarah. You both make such beautiful children, you could have a dozen! If you ever need a mountain vacation, you have a Kenneda Bed and Breakfast, complete with babysitting services.
Love you both, Dawn
Congratulations! Wow, that was fast....just the way we like it. She is beautiful; she must take after Erin :)
And I have several solutions to the blog name dilemmna:
1. Have one more kid and then "Six in the Mix" can just refer to the kids.
2. Pretend you are the Big Ten and still keep the name, but add one more name/team to the equation. It seems to work for them.
3. Sell the most annoying kid.
Seems pretty cut and dry to me. Have a great time with you mom, and take some time to relax.
