Decorating for Baby

I'm only three weeks from my due date and have hardly done a thing to prepare for our new little girl. I went out a few weeks ago and bought 5 newborn outfits. I put up the crib. I pulled out all the neutral baby things and sorted them. I moved Sinatra to the boys' room. That's it.

So, yesterday I had had it with postponing for any reason. Nothing would hold me back--not school finals, not testing, not a whiny child or a filthy house. I had an idea in my head and I was going for it...and I DID!!!

And with no sewing or gluing, in only two hours, had this...



Please imagine that the room is already painted green and pink with a white, scalloped trim set high up the wall to divide the colors. But that is for another day in the near future. Right now, I'm enjoying my small triumph.

I even embellished a lamp with the extra ribbon.
