Zipping Toddler

I didn't think that Sinatra could handle the zip line. He's only two. The other day he begged to zip like the big kids. I held him up near the end point and let him hold onto the trolley while I pushed him along. He did pretty well and held for long enough to make the entire line, but still I would not let him do it.

Today I had Gem help. She put him on the zip and I spotted the entire way. He went to the end with no problem, but the bump at the landing point jarred his hands free and I caught him. After a few practice runs we let Shakespeare put him on the line and Gem catch him at the end.

He's zipping with the big kids. He's thrilled with the ride. If only he will show the same enthusiasm for potty training. He's not quite ready for that adventure.

Oh my gosh! Unbelievable that he wanted to, and then was able to do the zip ! Just shows-to-go-ya what we're willing to let #4 kid do that we'd never let #1! Remember the tossing toast across the kitchen incident? Tell him Nana's proud!

That's what I was thinking. No way this happens if he's the first-born. How cool!
